Game on Dude – takes it away!

Game on Dude does it again! The winner of last year Hollywood Gold Cup, led by jockey Chantal Sutherland and trainer Bob Baffert; took home the title this year with Jockey Mike E. Smith. This dark brown gelding sired by Awesome Again won the 1 ¼ Miles defeating Kettle Corn and Sky Kingdom; placing second and third respectively.

Mike E. Smith who won fifth title aboard the 6 year old; claims his ultimate goal; to win the Breeders’ Cup Classic on November 2, 2013 at Santa Anita Park.   Carrying 127 pounds that has been his career highest, he finished with a time of 2:01.89. Kettle Corn was seen to give him a tough competition, however placing second behind the son of Awesome Again.

“He had the look today” – Baffert; Bloddhorse.com.

Game on Dude is no doubt a gelding with a quality pedigree, securing his place among the multiple winner of Gold Cup, along with Native Diver and Lava Man. Counting his 14th Victory from 26 races he had pushed his run and lead the way to 1 ½ lengths on the backstretch, completing 6 furlongs mark in 1:12.60.

Reading and writing about these fascinating species, just increases my level of commitment to virtual horse racing game. Being able to stimulate the race even before it has taken place brings about the excitement of the game. Racing Game on Dude at the cushion tracks at Betfair Hollywood Park online, I was more than eager to watch him win the real race as he had already won the virtual on www.horseracegame.com

Affirmed!

One of my all time favorite is Affirmed, fouled February 21, 1975 by sire Exclusive Native and dam Won’t Tell You. Laz Barrera trained; this stallion was the eleventh winner of The Triple Crown of Thoroughbred Racing.

Known of his rivalry with one of the finest; Alydar and Affirmed were face-to-face with each other in ten such stake races since 1977 including The Triple Crown. This rivalry set off at Belmont Park at the Youth Stakes where Affirmed was the winner followed by Alyder at fourth place.

This Florida bred race horse was the first thoroughbred to have got home tremendous success for Louis Wolfson and his wife as owners. Affirmed made his career debut on May 24, 1977 at Belmont Park winning by 4-1/2 lengths, two weeks after that he won the Youth Stakes with a neck-to-neck run with Alydar. Fans were kept at the peak of their curiosity, waiting for the results of the following 10 races where these two were seen in face off.

After a four-year-old career he was sent back to California to retire as one of the most glorified race horses in the history of horse racing by becoming Thoroughbred racing’s first 2 million dollar runner!

Deceased on January 21, 2001; this stallion remains a legend even today!

However, the deceased word does not exist in the world that I come from! Here in my world of horse racing the legends never fall and fade away. Virtual horse racing keeps such legends alive. Here you can select your own horse past or present and watch them in an enthralling race of the decade. Being a gaming freak, I spend hours and hours simulating my horses and racing them against the best of the best. After playing some of the games available online, I would without a doubt “AFFIRM” that www.horseracegame.com will definitely blow your mind away!

Old is Gold ~ Churchill Downs

Marking its way through history, Churchill Downs Incorporated is one of the most prestigious and elite horse race tracks this industry has seen. 3D horse racing simulation makes it possible for you to race your horse at the best tracks around the world.

Being passionate about horse racing, I read anything and everything that has the word ‘Horse’ in it. Recently while reading an article about Kentucky Derby, my need to write a Blog on the same arose.  Needless to say that HorseRaceGame had already thought about their players and included Churchill Downs as one of the race tracks that you could choose to race on, virtually.  The 3D effect gives you a complete real life view of this glorified race track.

One of the most prestigious and my personal favorite race track is Churchill Downs. This track has seen some of the best race horses in the history of horse racing. Officially being opened in the year 1875, it began its journey to become the “Home of Kentucky Derby”. In 1872 Col. M. Lewis Clark had devised the idea of a Louisville Jockey Club, in order to organize race meets following to which a race track was developed, which eventually became Churchill Downs.

May 17, 1875 saw the dawn of Churchill Downs, where four races were scheduled. The first winner at this track was Bonaventure. However, Aristides was the winner of the Kentucky Derby.  The following years were financially tough and a new Louisville Jockey Club was incorporated along with a change in the management. By the year 1903 Churchill Downs had started counting profits again. Kentucky Jockey Club was formed in February 1919 as a holding company for Churchill and three other tracks in the State: Latonia in the north, Lexington in the Bluegrass Region, and Douglas Park and Churchill Downs in Louisville.

Churchill Downs can be termed as one of the oldest race tracks, marking their way through history. This race track has accounted for a number of achievements in the horse racing industry.

•     the first national telecast of the Kentucky Derby aired May 3, 1952
•     the first barns constructed of concrete firewalls were built in 1952
•     film patrol was installed in 1954 to provide replays to the racing officials
•     In 1955 a $300,000 automatic sprinkler system was installed in the entire grandstand and clubhouse.

Quality Racing has always been a long standing commitment by Churchill Downs Incorporated. CEO Robert L.Evans along with President Kevin Flanery has taken the organization to a level of perfection when it comes to horse racing. Technology initiative and International Distribution channels has brought a great amount of success for this track, making it one of the most successful one in the industry of horse racing.

Training your horse at Churchill Downs or running him at the Kentucky Derby; Horse Racing Fantasy makes it possible.
